How to repair scratches on your sunglasses: Genius toothpaste hack that brings your favourite sunnies back to life

SUNGLASSES are a summer essential whether you’re after Ray Bans, Oakley or something extra sparkly with diamonds.

Now the June heatwave is upon us, the first thing we’ve done is reach for our trusty pair of sunglasses from last year.

But there’s nothing more annoying to then find your ultimate favourite pair covered in those pesky little scratches.

However, fear not, as there’s a GENIUS hack which can get rid of those scratches on your sunglasses and all it involves is toothpaste and cotton wool.

As first told by The Sun, apply a small amount of non-abrasive toothpaste directly onto your lenses and then rub in circular moments with the cotton wool pads.

After 10 seconds of doing so, rinse with cold water and wipe dry.

Then you should have smooth sunglasses once again!

So how does it work? The toothpaste acts as an exfoliater on the lenses, wearing away a fine layer on the top to make any scratches or marks to appear reduced or even disappears.

Obviously deep scratches won’t be going anywhere.

The same hack can also be used on CDs, DVDs and even phone screens.

Another fashion hack came to light recently when it was finally revealed why celebrities wear shoe sizes too big for them on the red carpet.
